Cornerstones are the shape of historic mosaic stones (tesserae), which were already popular among the ancient Greeks as a material for crafts.
Due to their flat shape, cornerstones can be used as a massage stone, for energy purposes and sometimes even for drilling or setting.
Seraphinite is a special form of clinochlore, a member of the chlorite group. The dark green color of seraphinite is enhanced by a silvery, feathery shimmer caused by mica inclusions. Seraphinite was named after the seraphim, the highest lineage of angels, due to the shimmering, feather-like appearance of fibers in the stone.
The mineral Clinochlore was identified in 1851 in West Chester, Pennsylvania. It has since been discovered in a number of other locations in the United States, including New York, Arizona and New Jersey. Clinochlore can also be found in other countries, including Spain, Switzerland, Russia, Turkey and Italy.
