Very beautiful 925 silver pendant composed of a 25mm x 18mm AA (very high) quality pietersite cabochon.
Handcrafted in India.

Pietersite was discovered in Namibia by Sid Pieters in 1963. It is composed of Crocidolite of the Asbestos type of Riebeckit variety. Pietersite is extremely rare and is found only in two places: Hunan in China whose mine has not been exploited for many years because it was flooded. Only the Namibian mine is still exploited.
