Pierced pietersite of approximately 30mm x 22mm supplied with a 1mm waxed cotton cord.
Size, shape and colors may vary from stone to stone.
Pietersite was discovered in Namibia by Sid Pieters in 1963. It is composed of Crocidolite of the Asbestos type of Riebeckit variety.
Pietersite is extremely rare and is found only in two places: Hunan in China, where the mine has not been mined for many years because it was flooded. Only the Namibian mine is still mined.
