White agate is also called peace agate.
This stone
symbolizes purity and virginity in the spiritual sense of the term.

Agate appears from the beginning in the history of civilizations. It is said that Persian magicians burned agates to ward off storms. The Greeks and Egyptians made many objects from agate, including jewelry, vases, sacred objects where whiteness represented serenity. It is a stone very rich in symbols.

A Greek legend tells us that King Mithridates the Great collected agate objects of all colors and especially white agate. He owned more than 4,000 pieces. Mithridates I believed that white agate protected him and he always kept one on him. He was captured by the guard of Antigonus the One-Eyed, then managed to escape. Later, he extended his power and proclaimed himself king of Pontus in 296 BC. He then founded his own dynasty.
In Greek mythology, white agate is associated, through its purity, with the goddess Gaia. The latter gave birth to many creatures. She was invoked regularly and white-skinned animals were offered to her as sacrifices.

Traces of white agate can be found in Roman civilization: the Romans associated it with Aurora, goddess of dawn and mother of the winds. Then, white agate was related to Bona dea, the goddess of virtue and virginity. Legend has it that she was the wife of Faunus, and that she never left her room so as not to see other men. One day, she got drunk and went out. Her husband began to beat her to death. Then, consumed by remorse, he made her immortal and covered her with white agates as a sign of respect for her purity. She became the protective goddess of women and their fertility.

The Persians, Greeks, Romans and even in Anglo-Saxon mythology, white agate was considered a stone of protection to maintain good health and avoid dangers, including snake venom and insect bites. The Celts linked white agate to Ceridwen, goddess of fertility and death.
Today, we find the main deposits of white agate in India, the United States, Brazil, Italy and Madagascar.
In lithotherapy, the white agate stone brings peace. On the psychic level, it has the power to remove energy blockages. It restores the balance between body and mind and repels negative energies.
So, positive feelings come over you. You feel peace, a great tranquility, then you feel safe. Which will allow you to open up to others and become more tolerant and more forgiving.
This is also why it is called "the agate of peace". It amplifies all positive feelings and all sensations of sweetness. It brings light into your existence. Also, it can trigger in you a great sincerity, a lot of kindness.
All its qualities allow white agate to calm psychological suffering. It soothes unexplained anxieties and uncontrolled fears. It begins with self-acceptance, then as a result, provokes self-confidence.
It is also said to be a stone of courage, which can be a valuable ally in case of conflicts, complicated situations. Wearing a white agate on yourself, for example, in the form of a bracelet, provides strength to face the trials of life, whatever their nature: personal, professional, relational. This stone is even capable of relieving your emotional wounds.
