6 edges and 4 vertices. This pentagram is the "dual" of itself from the family of pyramids. It is associated with the symbol of FIRE and it amplifies the incoming and outgoing energies from heaven to earth.
The cube or hexahedron is a regular polyhedron composed of 6 faces.
Plato associated the hexahedron (cube) with the EARTH.
The octahedron is a regular polyhedron composed of 8 faces, 12 edges and 6 vertices.
