ENS-PLATTOURN-01
Set of sacred geometries in black tourmaline composed of the 5 Platonic solids, a star tetrahedron and a sphere.
Comes in a linen pouch.
Platonic solids are named after the Greek philosopher Plato, who theorized that these geometric figures constitute the fundamental elements of our universe.
Thus, they relate to the five elements*:
- Hexahedron: Earth, associated with qualities such as stability, materiality and the physical world.
- Octahedron: Air, associated with qualities such as intellect and communication.
- Tetrahedron: Fire, associated with qualities such as passion, transformation and energy.
- Icosahedron: Water, associated with qualities such as emotions, intuition and adaptability.
- Dodecahedron: ether, associated with the spiritual or divine essence which transcends the material world.
One of the most striking features of Platonic solids is that each of them is a regular polyhedron. This means that each plane of the polyhedron is an equilateral polygon and that the vertices of the polyhedron are all the same and the same distance from the center of the polyhedron. When it comes to sacred geometry, it is the universal mathematical properties of Platonic solids that make them so remarkable – and perhaps even divine.
The star tetrahedron, also known as Merkaba, is a three-dimensional, eight-pointed star. Phonetically, its name dates back to the ancient Egyptian Mer Ka Bah – light, body and spirit. The upper tetrahedron is said to represent masculine energy, while the lower one represents feminine energy. As such, among other meanings, it is a symbol of perfect balance in all things and is often used to remove blockages from our energetic body.
The sphere - without edges, without beginning or end, is the starting point from which all things arise and to which all things return. Platonic solids all have three concentric spheres: the circumscribed sphere which passes through all vertices, the central sphere which touches each edge at the center of the edge and the inscribed sphere which touches each plane at the center of the plane.
Dimensions:
Parts size: about 15-20mm
