This variety is obtained artificially by heating tiger's eye to obtain a red tint.
Golden-brown, striped quartz aggregate with brownish iron fiber deposits. Very sensitive to acids.
The largest deposits are found in Burma, India, South Africa, the United States and Western Australia.
