Rhyolite also called Liparite is a volcanic rock mineral composed mainly of quartz containing zircon, apatite and magnetite.
It is quite light in color: pink or gray. It is a rock with a microlitic structure with minerals visible to the naked eye: quartz, feldspars and amphibole.

Rhyolite is the volcanic equivalent of granite.
