There are no real legends or stories related to yellow aventurine. However, we do know that for some civilizations, it had the function of bringing good luck and serving as a talisman. Among the Celts, it is a stone of spiritual knowledge and magic. Among the Chinese, it is considered an imperial stone. Then, in the Middle Ages, it was the stone worn by gamblers and therefore a stone of luck.

In fact, many beliefs associate this natural stone with good fortune, mental powers or magic.

Like all aventurines, it owes its name to an Italian glassmaker. In the 17th century, glassmakers based in Venice had to leave their workshops because of potential fires caused by the manufacture of glass objects. They moved to the island of Murano. In addition, this allowed them to keep their manufacturing methods secret.

A glassmaker accidentally spilled copper flakes into molten glass. The effect was spectacular, the glass seemed to shine brightly. Thus, the circumstances of this discovery, by chance, gave its name to the aventurine stone, derived from the Italian word “per aventura” (by chance).

But be careful not to confuse natural aventurine stone with aventurine glass, made in Murano, with copper flakes, because both exist.

Like rock crystal, aventurine stone is a variety of quartz, possessing various colors and metallic reflections due to different inclusions. The intense shades of aventurine come from pyrite (a mineral nicknamed “fool’s gold”) or muscovite.

This stone is mainly formed of crystalline granules invisible to the naked eye. This composition is the origin of its more or less great opacity. Unlike other stones belonging to quartz, aventurine has a lower hardness but a greater density. These differences are explained by the presence of mineral or metallic inclusions.

Aventurine is a stone that is very present in igneous and metamorphic rocks in all kinds of forms (pebbles, nodules or stalactites).

The main deposits of aventurine are found in Brazil, the United States and China.

Yellow aventurine, like all aventurines, is a soothing and calming stone. It alleviates states of stress, anxiety, and anguish. It facilitates relaxation, relaxation and even meditation.

It brings cheerfulness, gives enthusiasm, good humor and spontaneity. Thus, having a yellow aventurine on us gives us joy in everyday life. This stone makes us more patient and calmer.

It is also a protective stone that keeps away the negative influences of certain people around us. It encourages us to go through and face certain difficult moments in our lives. When we receive bad news or are going through a rough patch, wearing a yellow aventurine allows us to get up and react.

Yellow aventurine gives its wearer confidence and allows him to assert himself. It gives him self-confidence. This stone is recommended for people who have difficulty asserting themselves and making decisions.

Thus, it helps people transform their anxiety and negativity into serenity. It is an anti-stress stone, which stimulates love and professional relationships.

This stone gives optimism and a positive outlook on life, which brings joy of living.
