Collection: Galaxyite

Galaxite , sometimes called galaxy stone, is a rare variety of plagioclase labradorite, a mineral of the feldspar group. It is distinguished by its unique appearance, often dark, black or deep blue, dotted with iridescent reflections reminiscent of stars and galaxies, hence its name. These sparkling flashes, which range from blue to green, purple and sometimes gold, create a striking and mysterious visual effect.

Galaxite has dark shades punctuated by metallic and iridescent reflections, which give it a "cosmic" appearance and recalls constellations. Its surface is often marked with small spots or dots of color that shine under the light. As a variety of labradorite, it shares some of the optical properties of the latter, including the phenomenon of labradorescence, which is a unique iridescence caused by the diffraction of light through the crystal structure.

Galaxite is mainly found in labradorite-rich regions, such as Canada, Russia, and Madagascar.

Galaxite is known for its high energies and spiritual connection. It is often seen as a mystical stone, associated with the stars, the universe, and higher spiritual planes.
